Valve lash adjustments are critical to engine performance, mileage, power, and emissions.

It is common to make a valve adjustment on these engines and have the driver comment that the engine pulls better afterwards and may even notice better mileage.

This is an annual maintenance procedure that is commonly overlooked as the valve cover is not easy to access and remove, but this important procedure is worth the time and effort to ensure the engine is operating at peak efficiency.
