Volkswagen Gold Sets New U.S. Diesel Fuel Economy Record
Corresponding with our previous post, Volkswagen was also able to qualify for a Guinness World Record. Wayne Gerdes and Bob Winter managed to cross all 48 continental U.S. States over the course of 16 days. The duration of their travel took 16 days and they travelled 8, 233.5 miles. They averaged 81.27 MPG and spent less than $300 on fuel.
