Recently, Volvo Trucks North America has approved the use of renewable diesel fuel to be used in their engines.
Through various tests it was determined that the renewable diesel fuel has the potential to improve environmental impact due to vehicle operation and reduce particulate matter for pre-EPA 2010 engines.
As a second-generation alternative fuel created from biomass feed stock or “green diesel”, renewable diesel refers to petrodiesel-like fuels. These fuels derive from biological sources that are chemically not esters and thus distinct from biodiesel.
Volvo is environmental conscious and is pleased to be able to offer their customers another alternative fuel choice.
